Only 3 Hours to All Seasons Resort Activities
I personally love Deep Creek Lake Maryland. It is just under 3 hours away from DC and is an all-seasons resort area. The lake is nearly 4000 acres, and the area has everything you want for all seasons fun. Surrounded by 9 State Parks, rivers, and historic places (Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Waters, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Historic Ohiopyle for white water rafting, or WISP Ski resort which is at the lake. There are affordable condominiums, town homes, and lovely log homes or just plain cabins. There is lakefront, water views, or private tucked away. If you don’t mind being a little bit out, you can get beautiful homes on small acreage farms. Garrett County, MD is a family friendly area, with great schools and a good community college. It is just 1.5 hours South of Pittsburgh, which has an international airport. The trip here is beautiful and you will love it here. Check out the events page and come for one of the events. The Autumn Glory Festival is one of the largest Fall foliage festivals in the U.S. and it is a 5-day event that includes two parades, antique shows, farmers markets, talent shows, live entertainment and more.
